Sanaz Meshkinfam received her Juris Doctor Degree, Summa Cum Laude, from Southwestern Law School with a concentration in Civil Litigation & Advocacy with Honors. In law school Sanaz earned numerous awards and honors while continuously performing at the top of her class each year. She also served as a Dean’s Fellow and a Teaching Assistant on substantive law. Sanaz served as a member of Southwestern Law School’s Law Review. Her Note focused on equal protection for gifted and talented students.
Sanaz also had the honor of serving as a Judicial Extern at the United States District Court, Central District of California, where she analyzed pleadings and motions, conducted extensive legal research on applicable law, and wrote thorough memoranda and orders on a wide array of motions. Prior to graduating law school Sanaz also worked for a highly reputable Los Angeles labor and employment law firm and was selected to participate in a semester-long highly prestigious Legal Honors Program of a United States Federal Government agency.
Sanaz graduated as the Valedictorian of her high school with the Highest Honors. Soon after turning 19 years old, Sanaz earned her undergraduate degree from UCLA majoring in multiple disciplines.
After graduating law school and passing the California bar exam, Sanaz began her career as an Associate Attorney at a prominent Los Angeles law firm successfully representing and defending clients through all the different stages of litigation.
Prior to law school, Sanaz spent nearly a decade in the field of advocacy and public policy. She served on the leadership boards and committees of many well-recognized organizations engaged in civic engagement, advocacy, public policy, international relations, and/or government relations. Immediately prior to enrolling in law school she served as the Assistant Regional Director of a highly prominent global advocacy organization where in addition to leadership development, she focused on building strong and effective diplomatic, interfaith, interethnic, and government relations. She has also organized high profile public policy and advocacy programs and efforts focused on domestic and international issues and participated in numerous highly selective international leadership seminars.
Sanaz is member of the State Bar of California and has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards including the following: Academic Leadership Award (Top 1% of Law School Class Each Year); Dean’s List; Best Brief Award; Numerous CALI & Witkin Awards (Highest Grade in a Law School Course); Moot Court Octa-Oralist Finalist; Prudential Spirit of Community Awards; Civic Leadership Award for Humanistic & Community-based Ethical Activism Serving People Everywhere.
Sanaz is fluent in English, Farsi, and Spanish.
Sanaz currently serves as the Program Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Division of the Beverly Hills Bar Association. She is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.
Sanaz is an avid world traveler and very much enjoys public speaking, trial advocacy, negotiation and dispute resolution, and writing.
